Welcome to the Polarization Consortium!

The Polarization Consortium is a collaborative hub for scholars investigating polarization in all its forms. Inspired by initiatives like the Conflict Consortium and the Virtual Workshop on Authoritarian Regimes, we seek to create a forum where researchers can share ideas, strengthen their work, and build academic networks.

Launched in April 2025 as an MPSA mini-conference on affective polarization, our initiative has grown into a year-round community. During the 2025-2026 academic year, we will host virtual workshops, mini-conferences, and networking events that help researchers exchange ideas and data, receive constructive feedback, and build cross-institutional collaborations.

Whether you're just starting out or are an established scholar, we invite you to join us, get involved, and be part of a growing community committed to a better understanding of the forces that divide societies - and explore pathways to bridge them.

Get involved! Grow the network! Advance polarization research!
